We're reading the Odyssey in class.

Once Upon A Time

There is a new show coming out this sunday on ABC and I'm already obsessed with it!!!!!!!!
It's called Once Upon A Time and it looks really good!!!!!
The plot is basically this:
Snow White and Prince Charming get married after he saves her and everybody in the enchanted forest is happy. Then the Evil Queen comes back at the wedding and ruins everything. She threaten to "destroy you happiness if it is the last thing I do!" And then disappears!
Prince Charming rules the Enchanted Forest peacefully for about a year or so, and Snow White gets pregnant. Meanwhile, the Prince calls together the War Council to fight the Evil Queen. They decide to consult Rumpelstiltskin in the dungeon, who tells them that the Evil Queen will cast an evil spell, and the only way they can be saved is if the baby growing inside Snow White lives, for if she does she will return to save the Enchanted Forest on her twenty-eighth birthday. Snow White then gives birth to a beautiful daughter, Princess Emma.
Then the Evil Queen casts her spell. Prince Charming is mortally wounded while protecting Emma, and Snow White pleads with the witch one last time. Then the land is consumed in darkness.
All the fairy-tale characters forget who they are and are turned into ordinary people in our time. The Enchanted forest turns into the small New England town of Storybrooke, Maine. Time there is frozen and nobody ever ages. They are also cursed out of there respective happy endings. The baby Emma is adopted by normal parents.
When she is 18 she gets pregnant and gives up her son for adoption. The Evil Queen (reincarnated as Regina Mills, the Mayor of Storybrooke) adopts him.
Then, ten years later, she returns to Storybrooke to meet her son.
Here's a good cast list that shows how the fairy-tale characters change into our world:
Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Sister Mary Margaret Blanchard: the eponymous character and main protagonist from the fairy tale and Emma's biological mother who becomes Henry's elementary school teacher in the Real World.
Joshua Dallas as Prince Charming/John Doe: the hero of the Snow White fairy tale, the leader of the Enchanted Forest's War Council and Emma's biological father who becomes an unknown comatose patient at Storybrooke General Hospital in the Real World.
Lana Parrilla as The Evil Queen/Regina Mills: the icily beautiful antagonist of the Snow White fairy tale who becomes Henry's adoptive mother and Storybrooke's mayor in the Real World.
Jamie Dornan as Sheriff Graham: Storybrooke's handsome and authoritative sheriff with a mysterious past.
Raphael Sbarge as Jiminy Cricket/Archie Hopper: the cricket from Pinocchio who becomes Storybrooke's eccentric, yet bookish resident psychiatrist in the Real World.
Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold: the eponymous character and main antagonist from the fairy tale of the same name who becomes Storybrooke's wealthiest resident and pawnshop owner in the Real World.
Giancarlo Esposito as the Magic Mirror/Sydney: A spirit imprisoned by the Evil Queen who becomes a reporter for Storybrooke's local newspaper The Daily Mirror in the Real World.
